LACTOMAT BISONIC ANALYZER

Ultrasound milk composition analyzer.

  • Milk payment
  • Milk standardization
  • Livestock and dairy improvements

Portable and compact ultrasonic composition analyser.

Easy to use: simple operation, maintenance, calibration and installation

Results in 60 seconds (60 samples per hour).

It allows to obtain in a fast and precise way from a single sample and in a single operation the values of: fat, protein, lactose, non fat solids (NFPS), salts, water content, density and temperature.

It does not require the use of hazardous chemicals, nor special training by the operator. Pre-calibrated by 3 milk samples for different types of products: cow, sheep, UHT, goat, skimmed, reconstituted milk and cream.

Automatic warning signal for cleaning needs.

Both models are driven by peristaltic pumps:

  • Model SPL: 1 pump
  • Model SPLA (Automatic Cleaning): 2 pumps, one for sample and one for cleaning

Data can be recorded on the computer by connection to an RS232 or USB port, or by printing on a thermal printer.

Optional accessories:

  • pH measurement function with integrated phmmeter
  • Conductivity measurement function
  • Outdoor keyboard

Frequently Asked Questions:

What maintenance does the analyzer require?

A//The maintenance required is cleaning which should be done daily with alkaline solution (Lactodaily), acid solution (Lactoweekly) at 50-60°C and water.

Does it require cleaning between two milk samples?

A// It is not necessary to clean the analyzer between two measurements, unless high-fat samples such as cream have been analyzed prior to the fluid milk analysis.

¿Can milk samples be analysed with preservative?

A// Yes, these samples can be analyzed and the values obtained will not be affected.

Does the analyzer require calibration?

A//The equipment is calibrated at the factory. Corrections or recalibrations can be made according to the milk parameters of the region, if the values are different from the values obtained by laboratory analysis. The modified values do not affect the others except for the value of water added. When performing new calibrations on the parameters, the analyzer will take measurements according to the new values entered.

Who performs the calibrations or corrections and at what frequency?

A//The corrections or calibrations can be done by the user in a very simple way and we also offer the support and service in Biosystems. The equipment does not require calibration, but can be compared with standard values once a month.

What temperature should the sample to be analyzed have?

A//Although milk samples can be measured at low temperatures, it is recommended that they be between 20-30ºC.

How does the equipment measure the added water and cryoscopy point?

A// The cryoscopy point is not made by direct measurement but is calculated from the components that influence it. The basic components of milk are: water, solids, lactose, fat, proteins, minerals (salts) and acids. The freezing point depends only on the solubility of the milk components and the amount of solvent (water for milk). Ultrasound technology allows direct measurement of fat, protein, lactose and salts (the soluble ones influence only the freezing point), and from these it expresses the cryoscopic point. The percentage of added water that it shows is calculated by comparing the value of the analyzed sample to a basic cryoscopy point (-0. 520°C).
